ANNAPOLIS, MD, November 14, 2022 – Reel Counsel, a Fish for a Cure team established in 2018 by Eagle Title and Liff, Walsh & Simmons, is pleased to share the results of a record-breaking fundraising season. The fifteen-person Reel Counsel team raised $144,213 for the cancer survivorship program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute.
The record-breaking amount of donations awarded Reel Counsel the Paul C. Dettor Captain’s Challenge winner for the highest fundraising team in 2022 – the highest amount raised in the 16-year history of the event. The award was presented on November 5th, 2022, at the Fish For a Cure shore party.
The 2022 Fish for a Cure fishing and fundraising event raised over $575,000 this year to support the Cancer Survivorship program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute. Reel Counsel represented 25% of the total amount raised.
