Estate Planning

Estate Administration

Liff, Walsh & Simmons’ attorneys are experienced in all aspects of estate administration. We work closely with our clients to guide them through the entire estate administration process. Our representation typically includes the opening of the decedent’s estate, obtaining necessary appraisals of assets, management and transfer of assets, assistance with the filing of state and federal tax returns, and the payment of any claims, debts, expenses or taxes.

Our attorneys also assist with the coordination among the decedent’s professional advisors to ensure that the process is as efficient and stress free as possible.

Fiduciary Litigation

Fiduciaries are individuals or corporations that have a duty to act primarily for another’s benefit and must perform their duties with care, loyalty, and good faith and avoid any conflicts of interest. At Liff, Walsh & Simmons, our attorneys represent clients in matters involving fiduciaries including the administration and disposition of wills, trusts, estates, and guardianships.
