The Maryland Court of Appeals “in a nifty bit of considered dicta” announced Maryland’s strong public policy to apply the Maryland Wage Payment and Collection Law (“MWPCL”) to individuals that work and reside with the State regardless of certain choice of law principles and express choice of law provisions contained in employment contracts.
