Liff, Walsh and Simmons is pleased to welcome Sean T. Sapp to the firm as an associate attorney. Sean is a member of the Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups. He assists clients with complex labor and employment litigation matters and provides counseling on compliance issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Sean served as an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. In that role, he investigated and prosecuted violations of federal employment law, working as an independent investigator in matters involving agencies across the federal government. He worked closely with both federal employees and agency leadership to efficiently and effectively resolve complex disputes.
“I am excited to be part of the team at Liff, Walsh & Simmons and to contribute to the firm’s track record of excellence. I have built a diverse skillset in dispute resolution, client representation, and varied litigation strategies, and I now apply that skillset toward committed advocacy for the firm’s clients,” said Sean.
Sean graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama before attending the University of Notre Dame, where he pursued a master’s degree and Ph.D. in History. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2023. While at Georgetown, Sean honed his litigation skills through internships with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section and the Delaware Department of Justice. He also participated in mediations as part of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit.
Sean is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and is in the process of joining the Maryland bar.
